I'm not a parent. I was and am ...Awww, hugs... I'm not a parent. I was and am an anxious, unconfident person, with a bold and confident sister - same parents, same context, different people. In my non-expert view what matters is parenting the child in front of you, not some expert's idea of a generic child. And from everything you wite here you are doing that as thoughtfully, lovingly and intelligently as anyone could possibly do.<br /><br />Also, do remember that everyone grows up at their own speed, and that even at university age boys are often still a little behind girls in vaarious social aspects of life (in my observations, they all pretty much get to the same point around 22, 23, but, no expert).<br /><br />By loving him and not telling him off for being himself you're giving him a great basis to start from...
